Search/Filter Sidebar

Use the search/filter sidebar to search for and filter specific users. This powerful tool allows you to thoroughly analyze your community and identify your business niche.

The search/filter sidebar is automatically visible when viewing the community wall but you can click the three blue dots on the right of the sidebar to hide it and increase the space on the wall and view more user cards.


Click in the search box to open a drop-down menu containing three ways to search. You can use one or multiple search criteria to search for users with a specific name, users with certain words in their bio or users from a particular location. This is useful for targeting Twitter users relevant to your business.

As well as using the search function every user set that appears on the community wall can be filtered using influence and activity filtersdemographic filters, your custom filters and your tags which appear in the different tabs of the Search/Filter sidebar. You can filter by:

  • Number of followers
  • Number of following
  • Number of lists
  • Followers/following ratio
  • Account age
  • Tweets per day
  • Time since last Tweet


Demographic filters

  • Time Zone
  • Language
  • User (verified or non-verified)
  • Profile (public or protected)
  • Avatar (customized or default)
  • URL (profile with URL or without URL)
  • Country
  • Gender (female, male, unknown)
  • Entity type (person or company/organization)


Custom filters

Any search criteria or filter settings can be saved for future use. Click Save filter in the bottom right hand corner of the search/filter sidebar and the following screen appears:

Complete the fields and save changes and then, at any time in the future, you can access and apply your saved filters from the My custom filters tab.

It’s also possible to create a custom widget based on the saved filter.



You can create tags to add to users to categorize and organize your community. Select a tag from the My tags tab and display all the users that have been assigned that tag. To add an existing tag to more users just drag and drop it onto their profile.


Tags and filters which you apply appear in the breadcrumb bar.

You can delete a specific criteria by clicking on the x next to each criteria which is applied.
