How to follow your competitor’s followers?

One of the most useful features of SocialBro is the ability to follow your competitor’s followers e.g. to find users who may be interested in your business but haven’t heard of you yet or may be unaware of the benefits of your services over your competitors, you can do it with SocialBro.

Firstly you have to add a new source by clicking on the sources menu and pressing the button “Add New Source”, located at the bottom of the sources menu or “analyze your competitors” on the “tools” section of the dashboard.

Once clicked, you should choose the type “Twitter Account” and enter the name of the account you want to analyze (eg: @competitor). SocialBro will synchronize the account and you can explore in the same way that you explore your account with SocialBro.

By clicking “followers not followed by you” and using the filters you can find people to follow who may in return follow you back and become customers or clients in the future. Useful filters to use would be influence, number of followers, tweets per day and search options such as location or key words. For example the following search results have a high influence, a large amount of followers and tweet more than 10 times a day, so they are probably worth following and engaging with.

You can click on a user’s username to see their Twitter Bio before deciding whether to follow them or not.

The SocialBro dashboard also offers you the option to view your competitor’s new followers. These users have only recently shown an interest in your competitor on Twitter so may not be a paying customer yet and are therefore possibly worth following and engaging with about your product offerings.
